Plečnik´s Crossroad

The memorial of Jože Plečnik in Prague is made as a „ Guerrilla Art “. This art act stands in front of the Academy of Art, Architecture and Design in Prague. This Academy is the place where the „Prague period“ of Plečnik started. From this place he achieved work for the first Czechoslovak President Tomáš Garrygue Masaryk or the work on the church of the Most Scared Heart of Our Lord. The form of the memorial is inspired by typical Czech touristic signs. These signs are basically made as an easy addible elements to already existing context. The memorial shows crucial buildings before, during and after the Prague period with its distances and the title “Plečnik´s path”. All the paths start from this place.
